It took longer than expected for the last guy to go down. Shit, he must’ve lifted something fierce to get muscles like that, and the redhead just couldn’t resist the idea of an even challenge. Especially when he won, and even bruised up he couldn’t help but feel a great sense of accomplishment.. Before he realized he was running late and left Shiro by himself at the gates. That kid just shouldn’t be left alone. Hell, he might end up chasing after something shiny in the parking lot.
Rushing there, he nearly breathed a sigh of relief to see him still standing there. There was no mistaking that parasol, or that skin color, or that weird expression on his face.
He paused to catch his breath. “How long have you been waiting here?” He asked, leaning next to him. “I got caught up in a little extra business Izumo-san told me to look out for.. but.. At least you got a rest after morning training. You ready to head out?”
Shiro glanced up at the sound of racing footsteps, a small smile coming to his lips as he caught sight of the ginger heading his way. Well, that was certainly a relief… that was, until he noticed how out of breath the ginger was, and the faint bruising just starting to appear on his skin.
“Not long, five or ten minutes at the most…” He assured, brow furrowing slightly in mild concern, as he averted his gaze and reached up, scratching lightly at the back of his head, “Yeah, I’m ready whenever you are, but… are you sure you’re up for it? You look like you could use a bit of rest yourself…I’m sure someone else could probably take care of this just as easily…”
He couldn’t help but be a little concerned for the vanguard, especially knowing how proud and stubborn he could be sometimes… not to mention, he didn’t want the other red to overexert himself trying to act tough… Even if he knew the crow was more than capable of taking care of himself, sometimes he couldn’t help but wonder if Yata really knew and understood his own limits or not…

Shiro sighed softly as he leaned back against a section of the stone wall at the side of a rusted iron gate to await his vanguard’s arrival. Amber eyes curiously scanning his surroundings in search of a familiar flash of color that might signal the crow’s presence, taking in the decrepit state of the buildings around him as he did so.
Windows varied from broken to boarded, old brick walls appeared cracked and weathered, sections appearing as though it wouldn’t take much for them to crumble into little more than dust and rubble while others held strong, and he doubted the inside was much better off. He’d only really been to this part of the city once or twice, not nearly enough to be genuinely familiar with it but he was fairly certain that he had the right place.
Kusanagi-san had told him to meet Yata-san by the gates, and he’d come as quickly as he could. But he knew he wasn’t nearly as fast as Yata could be, so he was somewhat surprised when he didn’t see the ginger waiting for him when he arrived, although he would have been lying had he said it wasn’t a relief… At least it meant he hadn’t left the vanguard waiting long… Well, he hoped that’s what it meant at the very least. But, knowing Yata, there was always the possibility that he’d grown impatient and gone off on his own somewhere so he couldn’t quite say for sure…
